• Rules And Regulations of School

  • 1.) The academic year starts from 1st April to 31st March, the next year. The school fees are payable for all the months of the year and shall be paid on or before the month either in cash or by cheque made payable to Rai School. Fees for the month of January, February and March of the coming year to be paid together in November/December before the commencement of final exam.

  • 2.) Students have to pay monthly fees on or before the 12th of the month without fine and with a fine Rs.5/- till the end of the month. No reminders will ordinarily be sent to parents/guardians in respect of payment or default in payment of fees of their wards.

  • 3.) Payment of fees may be made at the office of the school on working days i.e. form Sunday to Friday only.

  • 4.) The cost of any damaged cause to the property of the school either from within or outside, or to the property of other pupils attending the school, whether causes alone or in combination with other b pupils, will have to be made good by the pupil(s) responsible for such damage. The decision of the principal as to the responsibility and amount of damage is final.

  • 5.) Only ballpoint pens are to be used by the students of VI to XII. The use of fountain pen is forbidden.

  • 6.) All pupils are responsible for the safe keeping of their books and belongings. Parents/guardians are advised not to send their children wearing any ornaments, jewellery or any other costly articles.

  • 7.) Promotion from one standard to the higher next one will be strictly in accordance with the rules framed by the Education Department. Promotion is decided strictly on the complete year’s work. The decision of the school authority, in matters of promotion, will be final and on representations from parents/guardians, either for promotion or for detention will be entertained. Pupils who have failed two consecutive years in the same standard are liable to be asked to leave the school. Students who have not got at least 75% of attendance for each term are liable to be detained in the same class even though such students are found eligible for promotion otherwise.

  • 8.) Irregular attendance, unjustified absence, habitual negligence in work, lack of application to studies, unauthorized alteration of figures in progress reports, acts of disobedience, damage caused to school property or to property of other pupils attending the school, dishonesty, indiscipline or conduct considered by the school authorities, injurious to the tune and standard of the school or likely to have an unwholesome influence on fellow- pupils, if committed even outside the school, will be dimmed sufficient ground for serious disciplinary action including removal from the school, if necessary. Pupils found suffering from any contagious disease(s) will not be permitted to attend classes.

  • 9.) Engagement of private tutors may not be desirable or advantageous in every cause to make up the deficiency of any pupil. School teachers are not permitted, according to government rules, to take up private tuition work without obtaining permission from the school authorities. parents/guardians are requested to assure themselves that tutors engaged by them have obtained necessary permission from the school authorities and advise the school authorities accordingly.

  • 10.) Parents/guardians are not allowed to visit their wards or class teachers during the school hours. In case of emergency, the principal has to be contacted giving the pupil’s name, standard and the section in which the pupil is studying. Parents/guardians are advised to meet the principal by prior appointment only.

  • 11.) The calendar should be produced whenever any references are made during the course of the year in regard to any student.

  • 12.)The attention of parents/guardians is drawn to fact that the school management will be entitled to modify or alter all or any of these rules at any time.
